Rounded Rectangle: As the per capita power consumption is one of the indicators of the developments in any country, Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution plays a vital role. High voltage transmission of bulk amount of power is the modern trend because of its inheherent advantages. Keeping in view of the importance, the department established an unique facility in the area of Iinsulation and High Voltage Engineering under the World Bank assisted Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP). The main focus of this infrastructure is to study the dielectric properties of solids as well as liquids, which is a very important component in any power system apparatus and in particular Power Transformers. The infrastructure thus established under the support of financial aid by AICTE, provides a platform for interactions between Industry and Institution, encouraging a meaningful Research of Global importance.
